Announcements:

• Thanks to Wendy Lukehart for organizing the excellent picture book workshop at ALA.
• Thanks to Kelly Vikstrom-Hoyt and Micki Freney for organizing and setting up the ALA Capitol Choices’ reception. It was a delightful two hours.
• This year’s ballot will be different. Voters will need to click “yes,” “no,” or “not read” for each book. In the past, the ballot automatically defaulted to “not read.”
• The listserv is currently inoperative; if it resurrects, Caroline will notify members.
• The Rss feed (on Feedburner) will send an email to members when the blog is updated.
• Please continue to send suggestions to Caroline about the website.
• When nominating, if you cannot find your book’s publisher on the list, use “other.” Caroline will add the publisher’s name to the list.
• Books on the agenda to be discussed at meetings will be marked with an asterisk on the website. Members will be able to search books according to whether discussed or not in the "In Progress at a Glance" list and know that those with an asterisk will be on the agenda. Books neither discussed nor with an asterisk will have a publication date in a later month than apppropriate for the current agenda.
